We are a family of fifteen: eight already with Jesus and seven in desperate need of Him. This is the story God is writing in our lives. Proverbs 16:9

Surgery and What???

Thankfully, Micah's bulging, ruptured disk in his lower back was repaired last Wednesday.  Even though he has had recovery pain, the nerve pain he was experiencing has been alleviated.  We pray his strength returns and he is able to resume normal activity in five more weeks.  It has been difficult for Micah to not be able to wrestle with the boys or hold the babies.  Needless to say, our house has remained busy.  And this gal has needed even more strength than usual (and usual for me is an enormous portion).  We have again had family to help which has been a blessing.

But there is indeed more to add.  Even though I desire life to slow down a bit, that is not in the plans.

A week or so ago, Micah and I began talking about finding a new place to move eventually.  We are very comfortable where we live but walking up stairs to our front door presents a problem when getting babies to and from the car and for men recovering from back surgery.  I thought I might see what it would take to get out of our lease a little sooner (say late this fall) so I gave our property agents a call.  This morning, they called back and I couldn't have been more shocked by their answer.  Not only are we able to get out of our lease, but we are being forced to move due to our family now exceeding maximum occupancy.  I responded to the news with "You have got to be kidding me..."  She wasn't kidding.  We are only allowed two persons per bedroom and we have three bedrooms in all.  We essentially have 60 days to move and only 2-3 weeks to find another place to live.  We had hoped to move soon... but not this soon.

As you can imagine, this news presents major challenges.

We have been through this before and should be equipped for such a challenge but it feels different with three newborns in tow and my strong-made-weak-by-back-issues husband on the mend.  But God is not wringing His hands or forgetting to move.  This is indeed going to be interesting.
