We are a family of fifteen: eight already with Jesus and seven in desperate need of Him. This is the story God is writing in our lives. Proverbs 16:9

"These Are Days"

Thanks to 10,000 Maniacs, appropriate words are added to these pictures... except for "lucky". I have no reason to attribute any of life's blessings to luck, but the rest of the song is right on.

These are the days
These are days you’ll remember
Never before and never since, I promise
Will the whole world be warm as this
And as you feel it,You’ll know it’s true
That you are blessed and lucky
It’s true that you
Are touched by something
That will grow and bloom in you

These are days that you’ll remember
When May is rushing over you
With desire to be part of the miracles
You see in every hour
You’ll know it’s true
That you are blessed and lucky
It’s true that you are touched
By something that will grow and bloom in you

These are days
These are the days you might fill
With laughter until you break
These days you might feel
A shaft of light
Make its way across your face
And when you do
Then you’ll know how it was meant to be
See the signs and know their meaning
It's true
Then you’ll know how it was meant to be
Hear the signs and know they’re speaking
To you, to you

Finally, An Update

I know it has been a while... It is shocking the way time speeds along, especially in the winter months when the days seem short. The most real judge of time I have right now are my boys. They grow daily. At night, I have been trying to hold each of them just a few seconds longer realizing that in the morning, they will have grown in some way.

Elijah did his first baby sign during lunch yesterday (he said/signed "more"!!!). He is the most curious child I have ever seen. He has to know what is going on at all times. He loves to laugh at Andrew- and Andrew loves to make him laugh.

Andrew is such a smart little boy. He is meticulous and opinionated. His favorite game right now is hide and seek. Everyone who comes over ends up either playing hide and seek or Nerf basketball. He will sometimes hide in the same room where the "seeker" is counting or announce where he is headed to hide~ we have a great time with him. We recently went to the Train Show in downtown Louisville. This is a picture of Andrew on a kid-sized train.

A couple of weeks ago, we had a beautiful snow and Andrew got to play outside in it for the first time. I quickly turned into one of those Moms who over-dresses their child. He may not have been able to move well but he was warm! Poor kid- He did enjoy sledding and riding his bike through it. When it snows, we all really miss the mountains of North Carolina. My Dad always wanted to take a drive when it snowed growing up and I am just the same.

We all hope you all who keep up with us have a safe rest of the winter season.
